Community Midwives

The midwife is available for pre conceptual advice, also care for expectant and new parents and baby after delivery.  You may contact the midwife on  0115 878 6168 (answerphone) or on the emergency number on your co-operation card.

Community Nurses

The nurses provide skilled nursing care for people at home who are unable to attend the medical centre.  An assessment of needs is carried out prior to planning nursing care, advice and support to patients and their carers.  They have a full knowledge of services and equipment and are able to make appropriate referrals.  They may be contacted on 0300 878 0100.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
